MIPIM Press Release

World Trade Center Beirut announced the launching of its forthcoming project Beirut International Property Forum scheduled for August 22 - 24, 2006. The announcement was made at MIPIM 2006 in Cannes where WTC Beirut participated along other WTCs. The General Manager of WTC Beirut Chadi Abou Daher explained that Beirut International Property Forum is the first conference and exhibition of its kind in Lebanon focusing on real estate & tourism investment in the Middle East and North Africa. He added that holding the Forum in Beirut is a logical outcome of the boom in the real estate sector in Lebanon and the MENA region.

Despite the political turmoil of 2005 Lebanon's real estate sector remained relatively unharmed. Since 2005, Lebanon witnessed the launching of multi-billion dollars worth of real estate projects reflecting investors confidence in the future of this sector in Lebanon. Moreover, capital surplus, geographic location, and investment legislations have all combined to make the real estate sector in the MENA region the prime attraction of local and foreign investments.

The Forum will constitute a distinctive platform to promote real estate projects and finances in the MENA region. It will offer insights on the momentum of the real estate investment projects highlighting the latest investment opportunities and the most lucrative projects in the region.

Being held in Beirut, the Forum benefit from Lebanon's long held position as the financial, commercial, and recreational center of the Middle East.

The Forum is organized by World Trade Center Beirut in Collaboration with the World Trade Centers of Algeria, Cyprus, Palestine, Qatar, & Saudi Arabia. They are members of the World Trade Centers Association based in New York.
