Dear Business Colleagues,

I have the pleasure to inform you that World Trade Center Beirut (WTC Beirut) has launched its services. As a member of World Trade Center Association (WTCA), we are committed to the promotion of international trade, and understanding among nations.

In order to portray our mission in Lebanon, one can say that it involves both exceptional and challenging charges.

Lebanon has been blessed with an incomparable geographic location which is conductive for a business environment of trade and services.

History tells us that Phoenicians, (believed to be the Lebanese ancestors) were the pioneers in exploring the seas in search for commercial ties with different cities across the Mediterranean.
More recently, prior to the civil war, the liberal economic system and the relative stability of the country made of Lebanon a significant service center for the region. And currently, Lebanon is on the track of regaining its old glorious role.

Yet many challenges lie ahead!

The economic difficulties facing the country, together with the accelerating process of globalization constitute a challenge for both the government and the private sector.

The Lebanese has been known all over the world for their talents in global commerce and services. Therefore it is this prerogative that we intend to take advantage of, in order to improve our country's competitive edge.

Moreover, countries must adapt to globalization by addressing their shortcomings and improving their advantages. And it is specifically here, where you can best perceive the significant role of WTC Beirut: Globalization being both a challenge and an opportunity, we will assist you best face the challenge and better seize the opportunity.

It is within this vision that WTC Beirut views its mission.

We intend to put our global expertise and means at the service of the Lebanese economy and the Lebanese entrepreneurs by promoting the trade industry and attracting foreign investors. We also look for a close relation with existing private and public agencies sharing the same objectives.

Looking forward to best serving you,

Chadi Abou Daher
General Manager
